It is also associated with women who are exposed to chemicals in a nuclear plant. Treatment for this form of cancer is difficult and often has to be done in a hospital setting.

Approximately ten percent of the cases of asbestos-related breast cancer will result in death. It has a very poor prognosis. There is no known cure for this form of cancer.
